The Denver Christian Thunder will venture away from home to square off against the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Denver Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.3 points per game this season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Denver Christian turned things around against Platte Canyon last Saturday. They walked away with a 37-26 win over the Huskies.

The critical scores for Denver Christian came from Cole McCabe, Driggs Silvernale, Quinn Barkema, and Tobin Delle Donne.

Denver Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Platte Canyon only rushed for 114.

Denver Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Austin Fitzgerald and McCabe. Fitzgerald got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Prospect Ridge Academy came up short against Platte Canyon on Saturday and fell 22-14. The Miners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Denver Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Saturday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Denver Christian has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 172.5 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Prospect Ridge Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 66.5 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Everything came up roses for Denver Christian against Prospect Ridge Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 51-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
