Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Dashod Singleton and Dashaun Chisem Lead Meadowbrook to Victory

Meadowbrook's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Colonial Heights Colonials as they made off with a 32-8 win. The Monarchs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

A big part of Meadowbrook's victory came down to the chemistry between Dashaun Chisem and his top target Dashod Singleton. Chisem threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes while Singleton gained 103 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Chisem a new career-high in passer rating (161.9).

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Meadowbrook's defense and their 6.5 sacks. Kevin Brown was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He has become a key player for Meadowbrook: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least one sack, but 1-2 otherwise. Ricari Enoch-Bailey was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 15 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meadowbrook's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Colonial Heights, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Meadowbrook will head out to face off against Matoaca at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Colonial Heights, they will welcome King William at 7:00 p.m. on November 7. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Colonials surely won't give up without a fight.
