Softball Recap: Page Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Page, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Centennial Cougars get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Sunday. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Peyton Wendorf and Ashley Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Wendorf pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Johnson struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). At bat, Wendorf went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double, while Johnson went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave Johnson a new career-high.

In other batting news, Riley Vaughan was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Olivia Braden was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Page always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Page's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Centennial, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-21.

As of now, neither Page nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
