Basketball Recap: Milledgeville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Milledgeville and Eastland squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Milledgeville had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Eastland Cougars and fell 52-8. The Missiles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-2.

They used a three-pronged attack on offense: Megan Schenck, Elina Stuhr, and Olivia Wooden posted two points each. Addison Janssen held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

Milledgeville's defeat was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Eastland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-15.

Milledgeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastland, they have already played their next contest, a 57-38 loss against Newman Central Catholic on the 18th.
