Volleyball Game Preview: Colusa RedHawks vs. Sutter Huskies + Official Tickets

Colusa and Sutter are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2019, but not for long. The RedHawks will venture away from home to take on the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Colusa is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against West Campus as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the RedHawks.

The win didn't come easy: West Campus scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 26-24.

Colusa can attribute much of their success to Marlie Berry, who had four digs and three aces, and Peyton Miller, who had 12 kills, 12 digs, and two aces. Miller is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sutter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Quincy by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 16-25, 27-25.

Colusa's record is now 26-13. As for Sutter, their record now sits at 27-9.

Colusa came up short against Sutter in their previous meeting back in August, falling 3-1. Can the RedHawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
