Softball Recap: Ledford Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Ledford couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 9-0 to the Rockingham County Cougars on Friday. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 8-4 to the Cougars when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ledford's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Rockingham County, they pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home.

Ledford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rockingham County, they will square off against Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
