Football Game Preview: Weiser Wolverines vs. Homedale Trojans + How To Watch

Weiser hasn't had much luck against Homedale recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wolverines will head out on the road to square off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Weiser sitting on three straight victories and Homedale on five.

Weiser gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They walked away with a 21-14 win over McCall-Donnelly.

Cole Ingle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 77 yards and three scores. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Weiser didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Konner White and Shayd Crossley.

Meanwhile, Homedale got themselves on the board against Payette on Friday, but Payette never followed suit. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-0 victory over the Pirates. That looming 48-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.

Homedale's win came from a few key players Weiser will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Xavier Uranga, who threw for 244 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes. Javid Blewett helped Uranga out on the ground, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.

Weiser now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Homedale, their record is now 5-0.

Weiser suffered a grim 27-7 defeat to Homedale when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Trojans' Kade Hall, who rushed for 138 yards and one score. Now that the Wolverines know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
