Nokomis won the last time they faced Litchfield and things went their way on Thursday too. The Redskins came out on top against the Purple Panthers by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

Nokomis not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Litchfield between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17.

Mackenzie Mehochko paced Nokomis' offense, picking up nine kills. Mehochko got some help from Kinley Stolte and her 24 assists. Mehochko was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Nokomis has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Litchfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nokomis will head out to square off against Gillespie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Litchfield, they will venture away from home to take on Maryville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
