Basketball Game Preview: Calhoun Sandcrabs vs. Sinton Pirates

Calhoun is 1-8 against Sinton since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Calhoun Sandcrabs will challenge the Sinton Pirates at 7:30 p.m.

Calhoun is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Ingleside and fell 54-23.

Meanwhile, Sinton came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 62-54.

Sinton is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-17 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Calhoun, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Calhoun took a serious blow against Sinton in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 70-32. Can Calhoun avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
