Flag Football Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Comes Up Short

Canyon Crest Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sage Creek Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-19 back in September.

Canyon Crest Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Sage Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Canyon Crest Academy will face off against Oceanside at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sage Creek, they will head out to take on San Pasqual at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Bobcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
