Amarillo hasn't lost a match since January 4th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Monterey Plainsmen. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Sandies were the better team in the second half.

Amarillo's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those eight games. As for Monterey, they moved to 11-4 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Amarillo and Monterey will both be playing Lubbock-Cooper the next time they take the pitch. Monterey will host Lubbock-Cooper at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Amarillo will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
