Recap: Lake View Wildcats vs. Niles North Vikings
The Lake View Wildcats have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 63-47 to Niles North.
Imariz Duran and Jada Marrero certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Duran scored 22 points, while Marrero scored 16 points. That was a full 34% of Lake View's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lake View's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Niles North, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-16 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake View won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Ridgewood is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Niles North, they will head out on the road to face off against the Giants at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
