Football Recap: Crystal Springs Uplands Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Crystal Springs Uplands extended their home winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Jimmy Naylor. The Gryphons breezed past the Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats to the tune of 72-6 on Thursday for which the team can thank Naylor, who rushed for 108 yards and two scores on only five carries, and also threw for 95 yards and four touchdowns. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Nick Loew was another key player, picking up 59 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Loew is also crushing it when it comes to receiving touchdowns: he's hauled in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

Crystal Springs Uplands didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Loew, Rikhav Shah, and Naylor picked up one apiece. Naylor got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Crystal Springs Uplands' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
