Volleyball Recap: Woodward Academy's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Woodward Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Brookstone Cougars by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the War Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Woodward Academy easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-16.

Peyton Moore was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs and two aces.

Woodward Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Brookstone, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.

Woodward Academy has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Starr's Mill on the 14th. As for Brookstone, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lee County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
