Football Recap: East Canton Takes a Loss

East Canton played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Newcomerstown Trojans and fell 40-12. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

East Canton's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Newcomerstown, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Canton will host Strasburg-Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Hornets' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Newcomerstown, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Malvern at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
