Football Recap: Bell Comes Up Short at Home Against Trenton + How To Watch

Bell unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Trenton Tigers at home by a 26-7 margin on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Bulldogs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Rj Leffler threw for 33 yards on four of eight attempts. Landin Williams was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Trenton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brant Bivens out in front who picked up 117 receiving yards and one score. Those 117 receiving yards gave Bivens a new career-high. Jackson Gentry was another key passer, throwing for 129 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight passes.

Looking ahead, Bell will challenge Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Trenton, they will take on Dixie County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
