Soccer Game Preview: Wasatch vs. Cedar Valley

The Wasatch Wasps will face off against the Cedar Valley Aviators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wasatch is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Wasatch is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Springville last Thursday. It was an even better day for Jayden Cosper as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, while the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Cedar Valley who was credited with the win last Thursday. The Aviators got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Maple Mountain's three.

Wasatch's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five games. As for Cedar Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Everything went Wasatch's way against Cedar Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Wasatch made off with a 6-0 win. Will the Wasps repeat their success, or do the Aviators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
