Mountain Heritage won the last time they faced West Henderson and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cougars walked away with a 53-44 win over the Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Mountain Heritage's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kiana Adams led the charge by dropping a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Neill, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was June Scontras, who posted 20 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Scontras is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Ella Collier was another key player, putting up five points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Mountain Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for West Henderson, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Mountain Heritage will challenge Erwin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Henderson, they will square off against Hendersonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
