It's playoff time, and Wilmington Christian Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They breezed past the Southside Christian Warriors to the tune of  72-30 on Friday. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11  matches by 21  points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wilmington Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Maddox Batts, who  dropped  a double-double with 13  points and 11  rebounds. Batts has been hot, having  posted eight or more  boards the last five times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Trent Davies, who  posted 14 points along with six  rebounds and six  steals.
 Wilmington Christian Academy was working as a unit and  finished the game with 12  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southside Christian only three  assists.
 Southside Christian's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Zach Pope, who  dropped  a double-double with 11  points and 13  boards, and  Luca Preciado, who  had 11 points and five  rebounds.
The  win made it two in a row for Wilmington Christian Academy and  bumps their season record up to 18-10. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37 points. As for Southside Christian, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record  this season.
 Wilmington Christian Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Alamance Christian at 8:30  p.m.  on February 27th. Wilmington Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Southside Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
