It was a good run, but St. Francis DeSales unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. While the Stallions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 25-21 in the first set.

St. Francis DeSales started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 26-28, 25-21, 25-23, 16-14.

Lyla Stewart paced St. Francis DeSales' offense, picking up 29 kills. Stewart got some help from Chloe Smith and her 38 assists. Stewart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Sienna Hogue was a one-woman wrecking crew For Bloom-Carroll. as she had 25 digs and six aces. Hogue is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

St. Francis DeSales' defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Bloom-Carroll, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

St. Francis DeSales has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Lincoln on the 20th. As for Bloom-Carroll, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Bexley on the 20th.
