Baseball Recap: Metcalfe County Comes Up Short

Metcalfe County lost against Adair County two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hornets fell 7-2 to the Indians. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Metcalfe County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Adair County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Metcalfe County will square off against Greenwood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Gators' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Adair County, they will take on Somerset at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
