Volleyball Recap: Vinton County Comes Up Short

Vinton County lost against Chillicothe back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 3-0.

While Vinton County was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-22, 25-23.

Natalie Dudley was the offensive standout of the match as she had 13 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Vinton County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Chillicothe, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Vinton County is taking a road trip to square off against Alexander at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chillicothe, they will take on Sheridan in a tournament on Monday.
