Recap: Whiteoak Wildcats vs. Hillsboro Indians

The Whiteoak Wildcats were the 65-48 winner over the Hillsboro Indians when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Whiteoak took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians on Wednesday. Whiteoak has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hillsboro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Herdman, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobie Miles, who scored 12 points along with two steals.

Whiteoak has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Hillsboro, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whiteoak will take on the Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fayetteville-Perry is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Hillsboro, they will play host again and welcome the Tigers, where tip off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (McClain is ranked 372nd, while the Indians are ranked 364th).
