Softball Recap: Aliso Niguel Comes Up Short

Aliso Niguel was the 12-2 winner over El Toro when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Aliso Niguel took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of El Toro on Saturday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aliso Niguel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sloan Lorenzo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Ella Haugo was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Aliso Niguel's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for El Toro, their record now sits at 6-9.

Coming up, Aliso Niguel is taking a road trip to challenge Mission Viejo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission Viejo's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Aliso Niguel's hitters will have their work cut out for them. El Toro has already played their next contest (against Burroughs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
