Baseball Recap: Basha Wins Going Away Against Higley

Basha never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past the Higley Knights 6-0.

Zach Bolles looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has become a key player for Basha: the team is undefeated when he allows at most three hits, but 1-2-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Lincoln Demmons was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Jaden Campbell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Basha's win bumped their record up to 4-2-1. As for Higley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.

Coming up, Basha will look to defend their home field on Monday against Queen Creek at 3:45 p.m. As for Higley, they will take on ALA - Queen Creek at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (ALA - Queen Creek 2.6, Higley 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
