Softball Recap: Gulf Shores Dolphins vs. Thomasville Tigers
Gulf Shores barely beat Thomasville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dolphins never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Dolphins considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Anna Leigh Price was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
In other batting news, Anna Murray was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Taylor Bjorgum, who earned two RBI and two runs.
