KIPP P strolled into their game  on Friday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Warren County Eagles  30-28. This was payback for the Pride, who suffered  a  32-0  loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead KIPP P to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Josiah Esperance, who rushed for 140 yards and a pair of  TDs on only nine carries. Esperance's longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.  Tamaues Person also helped out as he racked up 154 rushing yards.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: KIPP P was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 313  rushing yards. They  rushed for 113 more  rushing yards than Warren County's also-impressive total of 200.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to KIPP P's defense and their six sacks. Warren County's QB  won't forget  Christopher McKan anytime soon given he sacked him twice.
 When it comes to explaining why Warren County lost, don't look at  Graham Hosch. Despite the final result, he rushed for 202 yards and two  scores on only ten carries. With that strong performance,  Hosch is now averaging an impressive 103.9  rushing yards per game.  Amir Gamble was in the mix  as well, providing Warren County with one touchdown.
KIPP P's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Warren County,  with the  defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. KIPP P will  square off against  rival Northampton County  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Warren County is set to  take on  their familiar foe Northwest Halifax  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
