After a string of four wins, Southeast's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Galena Bulldogs by a score of 4-3. The Lancers were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Southeast saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colten Jameson, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Galena, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will face off against Yates Center on Tuesday. As for Galena, they will challenge Riverton on Monday.
