Soccer Game Preview: Maiden vs. North Lincoln

The Maiden Blue Devils will face off against the North Lincoln Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maiden's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 12 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Maiden fell victim to Newton-Conover and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Red Devils. While losing is never fun, Maiden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 458th, while Newton-Conover are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, North Lincoln kept a clean sheet against Foard on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 1-0. Angel Martinez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for North Lincoln.

North Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 8-6-3. As for Maiden, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
