Softball Recap: Avalon Takes a Loss

Avalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Southlands Christian Eagles, falling 14-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 on Saturday.

Avalon's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Southlands Christian, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avalon will host Big Bear at 12:00 p.m. on March 22nd. As for Southlands Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against El Monte at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
