Rancho Cotate's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They pulled ahead with a 19-18 photo finish over the Analy Tigers. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-11-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Rancho Cotate's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Maci Stewart, Isabelle Ellison, and Abby Ramirez, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Rancho Cotate's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Analy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season.
