Basketball Recap: Roscommon Takes a Loss

Roscommon lost against McBain back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Roscommon Bucks were dealt a 76-44 defeat at the hands of the McBain Ramblers. While losing is never fun, the Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 533rd, while the Ramblers are ranked 82nd).

Roscommon's loss came despite strong showings from Keaton Pratt and Sawyer Griffis. Pratt went 5-for-12 on his way to 15 points and six steals, while Griffis posted 15 points. Pratt is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games he's played.

Roscommon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for McBain, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-2.

Coming up, Roscommon will host Lake City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roscommon is facing Lake City at the right time seeing as Lake City is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for McBain, they will face off against Pine River Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine River Area is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season.
