Volleyball Recap: Perham Takes a Loss

Perham suffered their biggest loss since September 18th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Hawley Nuggets. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Nuggets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

While Perham was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Hawley's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-19.

Addison Hackel paced Perham's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hackel got some help from Camryn Coste and her 21 assists. Maddie Kunza controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Perham's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Hawley, they pushed their record up to 21-1 with the victory, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season.

Perham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Park Rapids on the 9th. As for Hawley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Detroit Lakes on the 9th.
