Soccer Recap: Wausau East Comes Up Short

Wausau East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Wausau West Warriors, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Wausau East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 167th, while Wausau West are ranked 41st).

Wausau East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Wausau West, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wausau East will challenge rival Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wausau West is set to take on their familiar foe Merrill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
