Soccer Recap: Kirkwood Find Success

While Kirkwood's victory against Northeast wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cobras' defense stepped up to hand the Eagles a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Kirkwood were the better team in the second half.

Kirkwood was without their leading scorer, Grayson Sims, in Tuesday's contest. With Sims sitting this one out, Nolan Teeple got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 55).

The win got Kirkwood back to even at 5-5. As for Northeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.
