Basketball Game Preview: La Quinta Aztecs vs. Bolsa Grande Matadors

The La Quinta Aztecs will challenge the Bolsa Grande Matadors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in La Quinta's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, La Quinta beat Saddleback 58-53.

Meanwhile, Bolsa Grande was beaten by Tarbut V' Torah 77-36 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1210th, while the Lions are ranked 476th).

La Quinta is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Bolsa Grande, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-16.
