Soccer Game Preview: Hampton Roads Academy vs. Norfolk Academy

Hampton Roads Academy is 1-9 against Norfolk Academy since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Navigators will welcome the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hampton Roads Academy's offense. They lost 5-0 to Atlantic Shores Christian on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Norfolk Academy kept a clean sheet against Catholic on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Crusaders. Norfolk Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Catholic with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Adeline Scott (2), Carter Inman, and Kate Fine.

The victory made it two in a row for Norfolk Academy and bumps their season record up to 9-1-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Hampton Roads Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2-1.

Hampton Roads Academy suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Norfolk Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Navigators were down 5-0.
