Baseball Recap: Swampscott Takes a Loss

Swampscott blew Winthrop out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Winthrop got their revenge. The Big Blue fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Big Blue have suffered since June 2, 2024.

Swampscott's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Winthrop, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-11-1.

Coming up, Swampscott will head out to take on Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winthrop, they will square off against Masconomet Regional at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
