Football Recap: Screven County's Undefeated Season over After 13 Games + How To Watch

Screven County and Early County squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Screven County had to settle for second. They fell 27-20 to the Bobcats. The loss was the Gamecocks' first of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Screven County lost, don't look at AB Hilton. Despite the final result, he rushed for 143 yards and one TD. Hilton showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 52 yards.

Early County had a senior duo take command as Evan Grist rushed for 126 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries and Devonis Lee rushed for 103 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. Those 126 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Grist.

Having lost for the first time this season, Screven County fell to 12-1. As for Early County, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Screven County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Early County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Red Devils have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine games.
