Meanwhile, Genoa-Kingston got the win against Lutheran on Monday by a conclusive 18-4. The Cogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.
Lily Provost was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Provost was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Genoa-Kingston got a massive performance out of Olivia Vasak, who went 3-for-6 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Angelina Lucio also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
