Basketball Game Preview: Massapequa Chiefs vs. South Side Cyclones

The Massapequa Chiefs will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the South Side Cyclones at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

South Side is hoping to do what Port Washington couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Massapequa's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Massapequa simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Port Washington 49-19. The Chiefs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

They are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

As for South Side, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the right side of .500 (1-0), and they're hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year.

Everything came up roses for Massapequa against South Side in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, as the squad secured a 62-35 win. Does Massapequa have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Side turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
