Volleyball Recap: Huntsville's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Huntsville had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Livingston Lions. While the Hornets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-34), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Huntsville not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Livingston between 18 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Carli Huff paced Huntsville's offense, picking up seven kills. Huff got some help from Lanie Culak and her ten assists. Huff was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Huntsville's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Livingston, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Huntsville has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Belton on the 22nd. As for Livingston, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Royse City on the 22nd.
