Baseball Recap: Wrightstown Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clintonville on Friday, Wrightstown came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wrightstown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Vande Hey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Wrightstown moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Luxemburg-Casco, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

While Wrightstown had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
