Softball Recap: Burlingame Takes a Loss

Burlingame fell victim to Capuchino and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 6-3 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Burlingame saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Arce, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Burlingame's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Capuchino, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Burlingame will venture away from home to challenge Mercy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games. As for Capuchino, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mills at 7:00 p.m. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
