Baseball Recap: Cape May County Tech Takes a Loss

Cape May County Tech fell victim to St. Joseph and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Wildcats. The game marked the first time this year in which the Hawks were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Cape May County Tech and nudges their season record down to 5-11. As for St. Joseph, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape May County Tech will challenge Winslow Township at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for St. Joseph, they will face off against Clearview at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.4, the Pioneers 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
