Scio dropped their record down to 7-15 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 12-0 to the Taft Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 on Wednesday.

As for Taft, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 19-4. Considering they have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

For Taft's part, Ezra James made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. James has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kai Bayer was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
