Baseball Recap: Coronado Cougars vs. Widefield Gladiators

After flying high against Palmer last Thursday, Coronado came back down to earth. The Cougars fell 12-7 to the Widefield Gladiators on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gladiators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-12 back in March.

Coronado saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tysen Noll, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Oliver Freiling was another, going 1-for-3 with one triple.

Coronado's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-11. As for Widefield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
