Basketball Game Preview: South Spencer Rebels vs. Southridge Raiders

The South Spencer Rebels will square off against the Southridge Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, South Spencer was beaten by Princeton 70-37. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Tigers are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southridge). They claimed a resounding 96-39 win over Tell City. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Southridge pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for South Spencer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
