Elbert has gone a perfect 8-0 against Deer Trail recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Elbert Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Deer Trail Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Elbert will be strutting in after a victory while Deer Trail will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Elbert didn't have too much trouble with Denver Waldorf as they won 70-52. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Deer Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 28th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Burlington and fell 58-18.

Elbert's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points over those games. As for Deer Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 0-20.

Everything came up roses for Elbert against Deer Trail when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 59-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elbert since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
