Soccer Recap: Cape Fear Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lee Christian on Thursday, Cape Fear Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Crossroads Christian Colts by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Cape Fear Christian Academy were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Crossroads Christian earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Caden Scarborough wasn't going to let Crossroads Christian walk away unscathed as he scored both of Cape Fear Christian Academy's goals, bringing his season total up to 26 goals.

Cape Fear Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Crossroads Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season.

Cape Fear Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 5-0 victory against North Hills Christian on the 14th. Hopefully Crossroads Christian paid attention to the Eagles' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
